CurateWP was built to be a drop-in solution for site curation and one of the ways it accomplishes that is by providing default layouts for your curated sections. Choose how you want your curated content to display to your readers as well as customize how the first one to four items of a section should be featured.
There are currently two layouts available for all of the content in a section: List and Grid. Each content item will display the title and publish date of the content and if a featured image exists it will be displayed above or next to the title (depending on the layout selected).
The default layouts provide a very minimal style while being responsive, handling any size screen. Developers can override the layout presets by simply setting up the proper template files in a theme. CurateWP will look for templates in a Child theme or Parent theme before loading the presets.
Featured Content Layout
There are currently four featured content layouts available. Depending on which layout you select, the first one to four items of your curated section will be considered featured content.
